Doll (poem)

Poetry

These limbs don’t fit.
Doll parts inside me.
Small and rigid,
Choking hazards.

Plastic not flesh,
Hollow and bloodless.
Cold and unfeeling,
Attached to the rest of me.

Porcelain fragility,
Painted smile.
Detachable, removable,
I don’t feel the loss.
