Sandwich (poem)

Poetry

Start splitting an orange,
Offer scraps to a cat.
Sniffing suspiciously,
Not yet trusting.

Kind wholesome nature,
Maternal affection.
Nourish starving kitty,
Teary satisfaction.

Rubs and purrs,
Gratitude without bounds.
Accept love as a sandwich,
Filling bellies with love.
