Pigeon (poem)

Poetry

Iridescent feathers,
Blend in with the masses.
Urban landscape stillness,
Flutter of activity.

Dodging kicks,
Vehicular bird-slaughter.
Snarling barkers,
Compete for discarded scraps.

Cooing with pleasure,
Solid build with hollow bones.
Wilderness in the city,
Nature infesting civilization.

Sparrow (poem)

Poetry

Warbling voice,
Fluttering heart,
A songbird owns the sky.

Capture my heart,
Keep it caged,
Serenades and melodies divine.

Feed me joy,
Ruffle my feathers,
Love me, now and forever.
